MTHR mushrooms are processed using a hot water extract, the traditional way of preparing therapeutic mushrooms.

MTHR mushrooms consist only of the fruiting bodies of mushrooms. These are the parts of mushrooms you traditionally think of when thinking of mushrooms, the cap and stem. It is important to use the fruiting bodies as this is where the immune-supportive beta-glucans are contained. Other products use mycelium as the source of their mushroom, which is the root network of a mushroom. Commercial mycelium producers tend to grow mycelium onto grain and the grain gets dried and ground into the mushroom powder, leaving high amounts of starch and not much mushroom. It is important to us to use only the highest quality parts of the mushroom, the fruiting bodies, to ensure you get the highest level of benefits.

You can drink MTHR products during any time of the day, just keep in mind your body’s sensitivity to caffeine. There is a trace amount of caffeine in the supplements and in the beverages, with the Mocha beverage containing 75 mg of caffeine.

We recommend mixing the supplement powder with warm milk (can be dairy-free or dairy) or warm water. If a cold beverage is preferred, prepare it with the warm liquid for ease of mixing, then let chill.

When trying these products for the first time, we recommend starting with one serving per day for a bit and then experimenting with multiple servings if desired.
